During a walk, you may encounter salamanders and geckos basking in the sunshine, while birds of prey gracefully circle above the olive groves. As evening falls, owls can often be heard calling, and with a little luck, you might even catch a glimpse of a fox.
Throughout the day, colourful butterflies, busy bees and the impressive Egyptian grasshopper bring the landscape to life. Several harmless snake species also inhabit the area, although they are rarely seen.

Our garden and the nearby countryside are characterised by centuries-old olive trees that have shaped the landscape of Puglia for generations.
You'll also find almond, fig, prickly pear, lemon, persimmon and pomegranate trees growing around Casa Fenicottero. Depending on the season, you'll enjoy colourful blossoms, ripening fruit and the wonderful scents of the Mediterranean countryside.
