We are David and Stefanie, a Belgian couple who took the big step to move to beautiful Italy in June 2025. Several factors were decisive. Among them, the death of a colleague and good friend of my husband in 2024. He passed away suddenly. At 52 years old. This makes us realize that life is very short and can be taken from us so easily. Then came the excruciating pain I experienced every day due to the bad weather in Belgium. This was caused by a muscle disease. Instead of taking heavy-duty pain medication every day, I now take less than half of it. Much less pain, to days of no pain at all. Of course, we also had to leave many things behind, like family and friends. When we bought our house, my husband and I started renovating again. Just as we renovated our house in Belgium in seven months (a complete renovation), we renovated our house here in four months. We had the opportunity to buy the holiday cottage as well, and we jumped at the chance. No sooner said than done. We're currently busy renovating your holiday home. We're doing everything ourselves. The holiday home will be finished around the end of May. From then on, we'll be ready to provide you with a truly hospitable and pleasant stay. That's why the photos are currently limited to the renovations, so you can follow along. We've already received the first two bookings from friends who are confident we'll complete this project on time.
